I can draft the plan. To get the event names and key events right, I need a bit more, because "leads and stuff" could map to several different events:
- What counts as success (required). Which of these are business goals: a demo request, a contact form lead, a newsletter signup, a purchase? Only goals become key events. Also, how does the business make money? That decides whether ecommerce events belong in the plan at all.
- What people actually do on each page (required). For each page, list the actions in plain words:
- Contact: a form, a phone click, an email link, or several of these?
- Pricing: just viewing it, or clicking a plan button that goes somewhere (signup, checkout, sales)?
- Demo: a booking form, a scheduling widget, or a video someone watches? These map to different events (for example generate_lead for a form, but not for a video).
- Newsletter: a signup form, and where does it appear?
Defaults I'll use unless you tell me otherwise: - Existing events: you think some are already set up. Without a list, the plan starts clean, which may duplicate what's there. A screenshot or export of GA4's Events report (Admin > Events) lets me mark each one keep, rename or remove. - Implementation: Google Tag Manager. - Personal data: no name, email, phone or address in any parameter.
Send your goals, the actions per page and, if you can, the existing events list. You'll get the event plan table, key events, custom dimensions to register, the mapping for existing events and a DebugView QA checklist.
